I am a seasoned writer with over 26 years of experience. This includes numerous books and freelance writing projects across a wide range of sectors from art and architecture to animals, construction, travel, retail and much more. I take on everything from books to website copy, marketing and PR blurb and smaller one-off writing projects. Recently I have been lucky enough to narrate part of a film on contemporary artist Chris Gollon, so I am available for work of this nature too.
Writing found me by chance, and I consider myself very lucky to have had the opportunity to work on the amazing projects I have. My first book was The Encyclopedia of Horses and Ponies that I wrote in 1998 – so long ago! A great friend called me in desperation. She had just been let down by a writer who was supposed to be delivering the text for the encyclopedia but had pulled out at the last minute. My friend knew my background was in horses and that I was very experienced on the subject. “Was there any chance” she asked me “if I might be able to write this book?” At that time, I was living on a ranch in Wyoming, so I thought why not.
That moment marked the start of a passion for writing that has never left me.
